Tech@Bennington Brings Together Entrepreneurs in the Community
Technology innovators, investors, and economic development organizations returning to southern VT
Entrepreneurs, investors, and tech experts are returning to Bennington once again for Tech@Bennington, a networking event designed to bring together the town’s entrepreneurially-inclined minds as well as members of the venture community from all around Vermont.
Tech@Bennington continues the “Tech@” series of highly successful networking events that have happened in cities and towns across Vermont since 2011. This event provides the ideal setting for local entrepreneurs to make new connections, find new team members, and new investors. There has been growing interest and activity in Bennington’s tech and venture scenes, making it an ideal stop for Tech@. Brian McKenna, a financial advisor at DB McKenna & Company and President of the Bennington Young Professionals group, says “entrepreneurship and innovation have historically been a hallmark of our community and the impetus behind tremendous job growth [and this event] provides a starting point for a renewed, and alternative focus on economic development in Bennington.”
Several organizations have partnered together to put on this event, including venture capital firms, economic development agencies, and Bennington College. Partners include the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies, Bennington Young Professionals, Global-Z International, the Bennington Office of Economic and Community Development, and FreshTracks Capital, among others.
“We are looking forward to taking Tech@ to southern Vermont this November. There is a lot going on in Bennington around technology and innovation so we are very excited to meet the local entrepreneurs behind this energy,” says Naila Jahan, an associate at the Vermont Center for Emerging Technologies.
