DESCRIPTION:Community Day\nThe Bennington Museum invites everyone to celebrate Community Day on February 14 to explore the permanent\, as well as the changing exhibitions.  \n\nInaugurating the museum's new Works on Paper Gallery is Laurence Jackson Hyman: The Bennington Years - Photographs 1962-1970.   Visit with Hyman on February 14 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm when he welcomes guests to his exhibition. \n\n\n\nJonathan Gitelson opens the 2015 Regional Artist exhibitions with Jonathan Gitelson: In the World.  The artist looks forward to speaking with visitors at his opening reception\, February 14 from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. \n\n\n\nOn view through March 15 is the Annual Student Art Show bringing artwork of the region's elementary\, middle and high school students to the museum in a display ranging from whimsical projects by the young students to more advanced work of older students. Arranged by grade level\, visitors can explore the artistic development of children.  Ceramic works complement the paper sculptures\, collages\, pastels\, photographs and pen and ink drawings on view.  Approximately 200 works are on view representing twelve schools.
