DESCRIPTION:Oldcastle Theatre Company proudly announces L'Ensemble's first performance in residence this season\, "Classical Voices: String Quartet with Soprano". On Sunday\, November 23\, at 3PM\, all are welcome to hear brilliant classical chamber music\, featuring Dale Stuckenbruck on Violin\, Ashley Horne on Violin\, Olivia Koppell on Viola and Jesse Levy on Cello. Ida Faiella is the featured Soprano for the afternoon. The program consists of the Handel-Halvorsen Passacaglia Duo\, Dvorak's Terzetto\, Kodaly's Sonata and Respighi's Il Tramonto for Soprano and String Quartet.\n\n\n\n L'Ensemble's mission has always been to s-t-r-e-t-c-h the definition of chamber\n\nmusic! L'Ensemble performs all facets of chamber music\, from Bach's\n\nunaccompanied sonatas to fully staged productions. Under the direction of\n\nfounder and artistic director Ida Faiella\, L'Ensemble's repertoire includes the\n\nclassics and much\, much more\, from jazz-influenced works to cabaret arrangements\n\nof the standards by such composers as Irving Berlin\, Jerome Kern\, George\n\nGershwin and Leonard Bernstein.
