SUMMARY:Artists' Reception
DESCRIPTION:The Bennington Arts Guild (BAG)\, in beautiful downtown Bennington\, is hosting an artists' reception. Coffee and delicious desserts will be served. \n\n \n\nJoin us to welcome our ten new juried artists to the Guild. We are proud and excited to introduce these fine artists and to present their incredible work.\n\n \n\nKelly Kimball designs and creates fabulous silver jewelry. Each piece is enhanced by a fine selection of exotic stones. \n\n\n\nJane Wojick's pottery is perfectly made using multiple earthen colors to enhance the beauty of her bowls\, plates\, mugs\, vases and magnets all sold at a reasonable price.\n \n\n Cristal Call paints in many mediums from oils\, watercolors and acrylics. Her small works in acrylics would look beautiful on any wall in your home or office. \n\n\n\nFidel Moreno is a Native American and his leather pouches and bags are made from exotic skins. Each piece is spiritually designed to reflect the true beauty and nature of his culture.\n \n\nKaren Gustafon\, our textile artist\, has many unique tote bags\, felted birdhouses\, and the most gorgeous designer wool felted purses\, along with adorable felted miniature mushrooms\, birds and mice for all ages. \n\n\n\nSuzanne Francke is a master basket maker. Her baskets will compliment any home or make an ideal gift for that special person. Suzanne can also be seen spinning yarn from wool taken from her alpacas. You can purchase her spun wool at the Guild and create your own work of art.\n\n\nJamie Townsend's oil paintings are magnificent. They border on abstract and realism and the vivid colors will truly catch your eye. His wood carvings of a fish\, turtle\, and man are unique in character and clearly show the talent of this fine artist. \n\n\n\nStephanie Ryan's decorative Ukrainian eggs are outstanding. The eggs are written in a centuries-old wax resist technique\, layering color and wax to achieve intricate designs before wiping the wax away. A wonderful way to start your collection.\n \n\nWilma Johnson has framed many of her beautiful paintings into affordable prints that will compliment any room in your house.\n \n\nCheryl Conklin has overcome her disabilities by embracing the world of art. Her black and white abstracts are done with pen and ink and each piece shows her ability to create the most expressive and talented pieces of art. \n\n\n\nBAG feels the arts are vital to downtown Bennington and through Artists Receptions\, future Workshops and new artists\, they hope to be able to maintain their presence. Due to a recent move\, they are conducting a Donation Drive to increase their revenue to compensate for the expenses they incurred during this move. You can help BAG by donating $1 or $5 to their Raffle (Prize is worth $470 of various artwork from our artists). Stop by the Guild anytime to purchase a raffle ticket.
