SUMMARY:2nd Annual Sun & Fun Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Second Annual Sun and Fun! Festival will take place Saturday\, August 20th from 10-3 at 115 Hillside St. \, Bennington (Second Congregational Church). We will have live music by the Hale Mountain Pickers\, delicious food prepared by local chefs from local ingredients\, face painting\, a giant participatory mural for kids and adults\, kids activities including making giant bubbles and games\,  and environmental\, sustainability\, and solar displays.  Participating groups include : Green Mountain Club\, Solar Pro\, Battenkill Conservancy\,350.org Bennington sector\, One World Conservation Center\, and at least 15 more like-minded groups. There will be a backyard composting demonstration/lesson by a Master Composter and everyone is invited to bring their kitchen food scraps (no meat or bones) to help build the compost system.  There will be drawings for prizes every hour\, culminating with at least two grand prize drawings at the end of the day. Bring your own reusable water bottle\, bike or walk and get more tickets for the drawings. The first 100 visitors will receive a free reusable tote.
