This showing celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act of 1964. Narrated by the late Christopher Reeve, it was filmed in 2004 to commemorate the Wilderness Act's 40th Anniversary. It is being brought back to audiences across the country to celebrate the Act's 50th. Bennington residents have particular reason to celebrate the act since one of Vermont's eight wilderness areas is close by on Glastenbury Mountain and is well used by hikers, skiers and snowshoers. This event is a partnership of the One World Conservation Center, the Green Mountain Club Bennington Section, and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy..
